My Heart Space...

I have heard the phrase, “live in your heart space” tossed about recently. If I understand the meaning of this phrase correctly, one should feel the love (presumably from ones personal heart space) and allow it to encompass you and spread out to those around you.
Sounds easy right? Hmmmmmm, maybe not.

Allow me to be the proverbial fly in the ointment
Yep I’m gonna play gloomy Gus.
Consider yourself forewarned; rather than four armed as that would be half an octopus and nobody likes half an octopus, I mean really what good is half an octopus...but alas I digress.

I keep hearing Neil Diamond singing Heartlight rattling around in my head. You know the one that goes,

Turn on your heartlight
Let it shine whereever you go
Let it make a happy glow
For all the world to see

As quickly as that one comes in, there’s its immediate replacement of,

I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine
Let it shine,
Let it shine,
Let it shine.

Well lately, I don't exactly feel like letting my light shine or even "living in my heart space" most of the time. Fact is if I live in my present heart space people may find that they do not want to be part of that particular "happy glow" at all. Maybe living there isn't exactly the best option for me. Maybe just visit every now and then seems like a good plan.

Does it seem like I'm in a funk?
(as James Gang ~ Funk 49 just rolls right in on cue )

OK that helps a little bit...but I'm sure it's only temporary...lol
So, I guess the moral to today’s rambling blog is that I should:

Let my heartlight shine, shine shine from my heart space wherever I go and for all the world to see but, only if I can muster up even a temporary "happy glow".
(oh shit, not shining happy people too...damnit...lol)

Hmmmmm, I can try it I suppose.
Will I grow from it?
Only time will tell the tale...

As I Breathe,

  1. I'm afraid the idea of being in "Heart Space" has become white wash as new age fluffy bunnies are apt to do. For me, I can be at heart space even if I don't feel Polly Anna cheerful about it. It means staying at a place of compassion, for myself and others even if I am not in a great space at the time.

  3. I have at times leaned slightly toward the idea of embracing lightworker although I tend to work so much better w/ darker more primal energy. Don't get me wrong, I can work with light I just prefer dark. I suppose I'm realizing at this point in my life that I too don't always feel "polly anna cheerful".
    Thanks for the comment H~

  4. Dude, it's YOUR "heartspace"; you decorate it however you want. Agree with what H said. (hands C a lint brush)

I also think the more functional concept is more like "being decent to yourself", and letting that be evident in an honest fashion. As for Dark vs Light; I don't think they need to be oppositional, and I can't sleep with a light glaring in my face.
